About Claims Resolution Partners

What does Claims Resolution Partners do? CRP is an independent claims advocacy and consulting practice. We represent policyholders — not insurers — in navigating, negotiating, and resolving insurance claims, from initial lodgement through to settlement or formal dispute resolution.

How is CRP different from a Broker or the insurer's own claims team?

Brokers arrange your cover; insurers assess claims against their own interests. CRP works exclusively for you, the policyholder, once a claim is underway. Our role is to prepare, present, and pursue your claim so it's assessed fairly and on its merits.

When should I engage CRP?

Ideally as early as possible — before you've submitted documentation or accepted a settlement offer. That said, we regularly step in mid-claim, particularly where a claim has stalled, been undervalued, or been declined.

What is AFCA and do I need it?

The Australian Financial Complaints Authority is the free, external body that resolves disputes between consumers and insurers once an insurer's internal complaints process is exhausted. We prepare and manage AFCA submissions on your behalf where a claim can't be resolved directly with the insurer.

My claim has already been denied. Can you still help?

Yes. Declined claims are one of our most common referrals. We review the insurer's reasons, assess whether they're supportable under the policy and the Insurance Contracts Act 1984, and advise on the strongest path forward — including internal dispute resolution (IDR) and AFCA.

Do you handle strata and body corporate claims?

Yes, including disputes involving building defects, common property damage, and disputes that intersect with NCAT proceedings.

How long does a claim typically take?

It varies significantly with complexity, insurer responsiveness, and whether the matter proceeds to AFCA. We provide a realistic timeframe estimate once we've reviewed your policy and claim history.

Fees and Process How do you charge for your services?

Fee structures depend on the claim type and complexity — options can include a fixed fee, hourly rate, or a success-based arrangement. We'll set this out clearly in a Client Services Agreement before any work begins.
